Your First Visit at Wiregrass Orthodontic Specialists
At Wiregrass Orthodontics, we want our new patients to feel comfortable and confident in the services we provide, which is why we aim to make your first visit quick, yet thorough. When visiting an orthodontic office for the first time, it is normal to feel a little bit nervous. Knowing what to expect can help alleviate any concerns or nerves that you may have about the process.
The Initial Exam
All first visits at our Enterprise, Dothan and Ozark offices are 60 minutes long, which gives Dr. Howell enough time to complete a thorough examination of your mouth, teeth and bite. He will use this information to determine the best possible options for your treatment. During the exam, we can answer most of your questions including the following:
- If orthodontic care is right for you
- The length of different treatments
- Payment options
- When treatment should begin
Upon completion of the initial examination, we may also obtain diagnostic records, such as x-rays, impressions and photos in order to gather all of the information that we need to come up with a treatment solution based upon your specific needs. In order to make the process go as smoothly as possible, we do ask our new patients to bring any panoramic x-rays taken in the last six months, as well as insurance information.
Potential Treatment Options
A separate consultation appointment is scheduled after we have had a chance to carefully analyze your diagnostic records. This gives Dr. Howell a chance to determine which treatment options will give you the best results possible. We want each of our patients to have a complete understanding of the treatment plan that we create. During the consultation, we encourage our patients to ask as many questions as needed to ensure that all of the information we provide is clear.
