Dr. Griffin

Carolyn Grace Griffin, DMD, MSD

Dr. Carolyn Grace Griffin is a proud Alabama native with a passion for creating confident, healthy smiles in the Wiregrass community. A graduate of Enterprise High School, Dr. Griffin went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Auburn University, graduating summa cum laude. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was named an Albert Schweitzer Fellow for her work providing care to patients with special needs. During her fourth year, she was also honored with the Orthodontic Excellence Award. She went on to complete her orthodontic residency and Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.

During her time at LSU, Dr. Griffin served as the AAO Resident Champion for her class and became Part I Board Certified, demonstrating her strong commitment to clinical excellence. She is an active member of both the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and the American Dental Association (ADA).

Dr. Griffin offers a comprehensive range of orthodontic treatments, including traditional braces, clear aligners, and early interceptive care. Her approach blends evidence-based treatment with a personal touch- always prioritizing patient comfort, education, and long-term oral health.

Outside the office, you’ll find Dr. Griffin cheering on Auburn sports, reading a good book, celebrating Mardi Gras traditions, or singing along to every Taylor Swift lyric. She is thrilled to be back in her hometown area and looks forward to building meaningful connections and beautiful smiles throughout the Wiregrass.

John P. Howell, DMD

With more than 16 years of experience giving patients beautiful smiles, Dr. John P. Howell is committed to providing all of our guests with a welcoming office environment, offering state-of-the-art technology and treatment plans to all of those in need! From clear ceramic braces to Invisalign® aligners, Dr. Howell provides comprehensive orthodontic treatment to people of all ages.

About Dr. Howell

Dr. John P. Howell has been providing outstanding orthodontic care to residents of Alabama since 2002. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Afterward, Dr. Howell completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania, earning his specialty certificate in orthodontics.

In order to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Howell maintains active membership in prestigious professional organizations such as the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, the 3rd District Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, Wiregrass Study Group, and the Alabama Association of Orthodontists.

In his time away from the office, Dr. Howell enjoys hunting, fishing, water and snow skiing, scuba diving, being active in the Rotary Club, spending time with his three beautiful daughters (Mary Morgan, Palmer, and McGowan) and his wife, Heather. He is an active member of First United Methodist Church where he serves on the missions committee and is on the Administrative Board.
